The spirit of Pele, Polynesian goddess of fire, resides in Hawaii's ancient volcanoes. On them, long ago, people carved petroglyphs. These mysterious Rock writing speak of spiritual forces and our place in the universe. Found in over 100 ceremonial sites, petroglyphs have a very present "Mana," living spiritual power, invoking Hawaii's ancient Polynesian culture.
In almost every part of the world prehistoric man has made pictures carved into rocks called petroglyphs. Hawaii petroglyphs, called "Kaha Ki'l" (decorations made by the hand of man), are a permanent record of ancient Hawaii. Dating as far back as 980, they are an important source for historians and archaeologists in reconstructing early Hawaiian culture. These carving serve many purposes; documenting travels, invoking spiritual forces and deities, and expressing important aspects of their lives.

Each has hand-formed in clay, emboss with authentic Hawaiian petroglyphs in Raku fired. The varying conditions of the Raku firing process assure that your piece is one-of-a-kind.
The Raku process
Each hand-formed clay pieces placed in a kiln and brought to a temperature of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Molten hot, it is placed in a pit with dried banana leaves and Keawe wood shavings that spontaneously ignite. The combination of Earth and fire and intense heat invokes the power of the volcano and creates the past in the present.

To be eligible for a refund Item must have been intentionally misrepresented. Please ask all questions prior to purchase. I no longer accept returns just because a person has changed their mind. Shipping is not cheap and I've lost too much money on that.
Return will not be accepted if item has been used or washed, altered, tags removed or damaged by buyer. Damaged rarely happens by the postal service but sometimes does please note if you choose to have insurance on an item please write me and I will just the price accordingly prior to purchase.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND, returned items must be sent back in the same way as it was sent to the buyer in the original condition with their packaging intact.
