Chinese Cherry Amber Bakelite Vase Carved 921 Grams

Description

This is a heavily carved and thick walled antique, Chinese, cherry amber, bakelite vase.  It has been put onto a wooden thin stand which has then been mounted to an art nouveau, solid copper, floral lamp base.  The vase itself has not been drilled into.  There may have been a dome shaped lid at one time, typical of an urn.  It is just a vase now.  There is a very thin rim inside the mouth of the vase which would have held a lid, I believe.  There is beautiful, deep carving all over the vase, and there are flowers carved on each side.  See photos.
The condition of the vase is excellent with no cracks or chips.  It has not been drilled into.  There are screws coming out of the wooden base to fit into the copper lamp base but not in the vase itself.  The vase can be removed from the wood base or the screws can be removed from the wood and the vase can continue to sit on the wood.
The vase along with the very thin piece of wood and two screws weighs 2.55 pounds which converts to 921.3594 grams.
