Beautifully Aged Wooden Dish Brown Leaf shaped Display piece used

Beautifly Aged Wooden Dish - used.
Apparently "Xylology" is the branch of science which deals with the study of wood. Unfortunately I had to Google this term, so I'm clearly not qualified to tell you what type of eood this bowl is made of, just that it is wood.
It is light weight, has character, and has at least one small blemish making it unique. Please see pictures for small crack in wood. This dish appears older or just well used.
In looking for similar items to describe this dish it does favor hand carved Hawaiian monkey pod wood, but has no stickers or markings to call it as such (see pictures), so I'm sticking with my bias description of beautifly aged wooden dish.
