    Description

    CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE VASE JAR URN WITH LID QINGLONG QING DYNASTY RED MARK
    This is a very beautiful FAMILLE ROSE LIDDED VASE. It is unlikely to be truly a QING DYNASTY piece, but it is possibly a mid-20th century reproduction. It features profuse floral decorations on two panels. On one side is a scene of two men and three women within an interior space (perhaps engaged in a courtship ritual), a fourth woman leans from a window to view the encounter. The other panel depicts a vase of flowers with four colorful birds. Pairs of foo dogs in red are at the base of each scene. The floral borders include lotus and peonies, mingled with butterflies, dragonflies, and other symbols.
    The dimensions of the piece are 13. 5”tall including knobbed lid. The hole in the top is about 3” in diameter and it is 9” in diameter at the waist. It weighs 5 lbs, 8 oz./2490 grams.
